Is it really August already?! This summer (like every other summer) has gone by way too fast. I really love being able to fire up our grill and eat outside, so I am trying to make the most of it during this last month of summer. My husband has become quite the grill master, so it’s been nice working as “team” towards our dinners. : ) These Grilled Chicken Fajita Kabobs are not only colorful, but have a delicious marinade that is easy to make.
I’m back…with some news.
30 JulOne of my good friends recently told me that if she goes to my blog and sees “strawberry limeade” one more time she is going to scream.
Okay, Okay – she’s got a point. I’ve gotten pretty terrible at updating my blog. I blame summertime. It happens to be my favorite season, simply because it is always filled with so many fun activities. This summer we’ve been busy with weddings, showers, reunions, vacations, etc. I mean, come on, warm weather alone distracts me. (I swear, if I had gone to college in a warmer climate, I probably would not have graduated.) Although, I have definitely been enjoying myself, I do apologize for my obvious blog neglect.
Oh. One more thing… did I mention that I am pregnant!!? No, I obviously didn’t, but as you can imagine, that has been another thing that has been keeping me busy this summer. I will tell more about our story and road to pregnancy in a future blog post, but for now just know that we are beyond thrilled to welcome our sweet baby girl into the world in early December.
Strawberry Limeade
6 JunJune has arrived, which means summer is here. Although, I know summer does not officially start until later in the month, I am more than ready to start summer early! There is just nothing better than a cold glass of strawberry limeade on a hot summer day. This is the perfect summer drink. It is very refreshing and so simple to make.
Carrot Cake Cookies
30 MayI’ve gotten pretty bad at updating my blog. I blame it on the warm weather. Please forgive me.
Since it is still technically spring, I haven’t really moved on to my “summer” recipes quite yet. These oh-so-delicious carrot cake cookies are a perfect way to celebrate spring!!
BBQ Chicken Pizza
26 AprIt’s Friday! Lets celebrate with a delicious pizza recipe! With BBQ sauce on the bottom of the dough and mozzarella cheese, BBQ chicken, red onions and cilantro on top, this pizza is a real winner. Hubs even declared it his new favorite pizza! It is that good. Bake the pizza until golden brown, let it sit for about 5 minutes before slicing and enjoy.
DIY Kitchen Cabinet Makeover
24 AprThis past winter, we moved into our new house. The same day we closed on the house, we began staining the cabinets. We didn’t waste any time. : ) It is an older kitchen with oak cabinets and we really wanted to update it in a cost efficient way.
This project only ended up costing about $100 and makes the kitchen look a lot better. The process is not too complicated and it is definitely worth it! Unfortunately, I forgot to take before pictures, so the only picture I have of the kitchen is from before we even moved in.
If you are looking for a cheap way to improve your bathroom, kitchen or furniture, I would definitely recommend this project!!
